Does anyone know a way to find information on birth parents without paying a fee?

I live in Iowa and was adopted in 1966 at the age of three months from Lutheran Social Services out of Iowa City. At that time most women planning to give their children up for adoption went there so she could have been from anywhere in Iowa. My adoptive parents know nothing. The agency said that I had five half siblings older than me. I would think they would wonder what happened to the baby their mother was carrying. Any suggestions would be helpful.|||Your parents should have copies of the adoption papers/amended birth certificate, which would tell you where you were adopted from (agency, state, etc). Then I would contact that agency/state and see what they can tell you. There is a number on your amended birth certificate which correlates to a number on your original birth certificate. You will probably have to fill out paperwork stating why you are wanting this information and then hope that your birth family has filled out the same paperwork saying it is ok. If the birth family has made contact with the agency saying that he is wanting to be found, then the agency will make contact with you|||sorry i dont know! murry?|||In Australia we have an agency called jig saw, it is free and helps re unite adopted children with their real parents, do you have an agency like that there??

Contact ALL the current affair tv and talk shows you can think of ask them to do a story on "The lost generation" tell them your story give them your contact details so they can contact you when the story is run. and it will be run it is current affairs and human interest. also contact any newspaper that has affiliates in other states and has a section where you can write to a columist like "Dear Aggie"|||You will find your bio family!
