When renting through a letting agency will I have to pay a deposit on top of the admin fee?

Their website states that the admin fee is 拢250, but doesnt mention deposits in the information about individual flats. Does this mean that there is no additional costs needed to secure the property once admin fee is paid?|||When using a letting agency to obtain a rental property you will have to pay the agency an administration fee (theirs is 拢250) which will cover the cost of obtaining references and preparing the lease. On top of this you will have to pay a deposit for the property which the landlord or agent will have to put in a deposit protection scheme - this will be held in reserve to cover such eventualities as damages during the term of your tenancy, but if you hand the property back at the end of the term of tenancy in A1 condition, this will be returned to you. And then, on top of those two fees, you will have to find a months rent....

So, for example, if you found a property you liked at 拢500 per month rent, you would have to pay the agent 拢250, and the landlord 拢500 rent for a month in advance and whatever he requests for a deposit (often one months rent plus 拢100 - but that figure is up to him.)|||no|||The admin fee is for the agency. You will have to pay a deposit as well in case of any damage to the property. This should be refunded at the end of the tenancy provided all is clean, tidy %26amp; in good order.
