How much does it cost to have a baby, including lab fee for pregnancy test and prenatal/post-natal visits?

I am doing a project for school, and I need to know the following information:

MEDICAL EXPENSES FOR...

Lab fee for pregnancy test:

Private doctor's fee including prenatal visits, delivery, and six week post-natal check-up:

Hospital fee including delivery room anesthesia, nursery, and mother's room for 2-3 days:

Thank you!|||Without insurance, it would get very VERY spendy. Because you would be paying out of pocket, ultrasounds, and regular checkups for prenatal would add up quickly. Then you consider a $10 pregnancy test (2 pack) to get a double positive result. plus prenatal vitamins, that would add up too. Then looking at delivery, you'd have the room fee, the overnight of 2-overnight stays, if a c-section was done, then 3-nights, the cost of an epidural if that was chosen, if the baby was a premie, then even more for the cost of taking care of the baby in the NICU. And then postnatal, baby's have tons and i mean TONS of shots the first year, plus regular check ups, and paying out of pocket for all that stuff, would add up to $20,000 on the cheap end. Figuring you bought a store brand test, store brand prenatal vitamins, had a natural birth, with only an overnight stay. But anything more than that, it would cost more and more. Giving birth to a baby costs alot. That's why it's so important to have insurance|||You would need to phone these places and find out yourself. Everywhere is different. I live in Canada so technically....its all free. I dont pay a cent because of our heathcare. However where you live will be different, the hospital stay length will be different. Pick up the phone and do some research girl.|||the lab fee for me was 25 dollars but i have medicaid for the rest just one visit can cost up to a thousand dollars and you have alot of appointments good luck with this project|||instead of coming on here and expecting us to do the work for you, why don't you call places and ask for yourself? Or visit the dr. and hospital and find out for yourself?|||I'm 36 weeks and I always get an EOB (explanation of benefits) from my insurance. I decided to add all these up and so far my medical bills are at 12k.

And I haven't even had my baby yet....|||u have to google that information insurance and hospital charge different alot maybe around 20-30 thousand|||LAB TEST AT THE CLINIC IS FREE BUT I COULDN TELL YOU BOUT THE BLOOD TEST TRY CALLING TO THE HOSPITAL THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO ANSWER ALL YOUR QUESTIONS
